St. George celebrated the Feast of Pentecost on Sunday, June 8th with Divine Liturgy, immediately followed by the Kneeling Vespers. The Feast commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit and is also seen as the culmination of the revelation of the Holy Trinity. St. George’s icon of this feast is located on the left.
