We recently completed the May & June charity collection held this year which was in support of a project that one of our Altar Servers, Kosta Nani, is running.  Kosta has put together a project to donate school supplies for a school called Shkolla “6 Dëshmorët” in Kamenice-Korçë, or “6 Martyrs” School which is in Kamenicë, a community in Korçë County, southeastern Albania.  Parishioners made direct purchases and donations of various supplies along with a total of $600 of cash, which was collected in the weekly Charity baskets. Kosta purchased additional supplies with the cash donations.  The detailed list of supplies can be found in the following link:  Final list of donated school supplies.

The Nani family has packed up all of the supplies into 7 different suitcases/backpacks (1 large suitcase, 4 carry-on suitcases, a backpack, and likely a final 2nd backpack will be needed) which they will take with them on their flight to Albania.  The total weight of the supplies they are transporting is about 247 lbs!  The Nani family leaves for Albania the middle of the week of July 20th - we wish them well on their vacation and look forward to hear how the delivery of supplies was received.
