St. George celebrated the feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord on Sunday, August 10th. (This feast normally falls on August 6th, however St. George transferred the celebration of this feast to Sunday, August 10th). As is common practice in the Orthodox Church, grapes and other fruits (and vegetables) were blessed after Divine Liturgy. We wish to also thank Fr. Danaks Rhodes for serving Divine Liturgy for us this day.
The Troparion for this feast: You were transfigured on the mountain, O Christ God, / revealing Your glory to Your disciples as far as they could bear it. / Let Your everlasting Light also shine upon us sinners, / through the prayers of the Theotokos. / O Giver of Light, glory to You!
