St. George celebrated the Feast of the Transfiguration on Sunday, August 7th. (This feast normally falls on August 6th, however this year St. George transferred the celebration of this feast day to Sunday, August 7th). As is common practice in the Orthodox Church, grapes and other fruits (and vegetables) were blessed after Divine Liturgy.
The Troparion for this feast: You were transfigured on the mountain, O Christ God, / revealing Your glory to Your disciples as far as they could bear it. / Let Your everlasting Light also shine upon us sinners, / through the prayers of the Theotokos. / O Giver of Light, glory to You!
